Adieu 2 You ran a hell of a race to just get up for the win by a nose over Ken Allan's horse on Sunday at Ellis Park. I was concerned about the inside post, but I felt really good about his chances going in. I knew he could get the trip and felt he would rebound big after failing at Woodbine. He was trying very hard at Woodbine, so the drop to a mid level track was what he needed. Now I have to decide where to go with him next. I am thinking a Del Mar raid with this one as he's really sharp right now and I feel he can win right back at one mile agaist the right oppossition.
Turbo Power ran an ok race to get third at Calder. It's only his second race this year and the drop was needed. I believe he can win next time out with another drop, will probably stay right there at Calder. I have to try and get rid of some horses that I have held for a while. New blood is what I am after, so all horses not performing well will be retired.
Royal Palace ran third yesterday in an Allowance at Fort Erie. It was unfortunate that the track came up yielding, but the #4 horse was a very fast one and I was forced to chase him all the way. I was lucky to get third in that one, but I think the outing will do this one well. Maybe back to Del Mar with this one to see if I can pick up a State Bred race. I believe this horse will be sharper next time out.
